Flap Happy was founded over 30 years ago by designer Laurie Lipson Snyder, a Malibu native and mother of four. After Laurie was diagnosed with skin cancer at a young age, she started the business with the purpose of shielding her children’s faces and necks from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
